Chess is the most popular strategy games around the world. The history of chess began 1500 years ago, in the north of India and then spread through all of Asia.
With the expansion of the Islamic empire through different places, chess was introduced to different countries, including the European content. Chess rules have changed many times throughout history until the 1880s, and the first official championship was hosted in 1886.
Chess is players use a board with 64 small squares arranged in an 8×8 grid. Each player has 16 pieces of either white or black colors. The pieces are a king, a queen, two knights (horses), two bishops, and eight pawns (soldiers). The queen is the strongest between all pieces in the game since it can move in all directions. A player wins the game if he checkmates the other player’s king or when one of the players quit.
